Giving Self Praise
Have you noticed that as humans we can be very fragile? If we gain a few pounds, we kick ourselves. If we feel we haven’t done that great in our careers, we go on and on about letting ourselves down. If we say something silly, we brood over our “stupidity” for days. We’re constantly sending ourselves negative messages; how many positive ones do we send ourselves?
In order to survive all of us need a heavy dose of self-love. When we love ourselves we are comfortable within ourselves; we can forgive and accept ourselves.
Since we don’t get praised much in life, we must learn to do it ourselves. Learning to pat ourselves on the back can get us in the habit of focusing on our positive feelings. If we are not happy in our homes within, there’s nowhere else for us to go!
