“Don’t Get Sucked In”
Every experience leaves an imprint on our hearts and minds. That imprint evokes certain feelings and thoughts. Whenever an experience triggers those thoughts and feelings, we have the right to say no! Yup, you heard correctly, you have to talk to yourself. Talk to your brain. Talk to your heart. Talk to that funky cloud that’s lurking around, waiting to suck you up. If what you are thinking doesn’t make you feel good, change that thought. If what you are feeling doesn’t make you feel better, change the feeling. If what you are doing doesn’t make you feel worthy, change the deed. Feeling bad has a way of luring us into contentment. We begin to accept that this is the way it is always going to be and whatever is going on is out of our control. This is a true fact. You can never change what is going on outside of you; however, you can always change what you do in response.
When you begin to feel that funky cloud start to come at you, you must confront it as if you were confronting a person that is trying to feed your head with negativity. And you tell it…No! You are not going to trick me into feeling bad! No! You are not going to convince me that I have to be angry! I am going to think good thoughts no matter what! And if you don’t like it you can take your negative energy someplace else. Talk to that negative vibe just like that whenever it comes to calling.
In the past you may have allowed yourself to be sucked into that energy of bad feelings, bad thoughts and bad experienced, but you need to remind yourself that bad anything cannot bother you unless you allow them to.
